Health Coaching

Health does not exist separately from the life you lead. The way you eat, sleep, move and recover is shaped by your work, relationships, stress, environment, priorities, beliefs and the demands placed on your time. When these areas begin to compete with one another, even knowing what would support your wellbeing does not always make meaningful change easy.

This whole-person approach creates space to step back and look at the wider picture: where you are now, what matters to you, what may be getting in the way, and what changes are realistic within the life you are living. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all formula for wellbeing, the process supports greater awareness, clearer priorities and sustainable actions aligned with your health, values and the life you want to lead.

Build a life that supports your purpose.

What is Health Coaching?

Health Coaching is a supportive, client-centred process that helps you create meaningful and sustainable changes in your health and wellbeing. It is grounded in bio-individuality: the understanding that each person is unique, and what supports one person may not work for another. Your needs can also change over time. Rather than following a single formula for health, you explore what works for you, your circumstances and the life you are living.

Because health is multidimensional, how you feel and function can be influenced by nutrition, movement, sleep and recovery, as well as your relationships, work, environment, emotional wellbeing, stress, financial wellbeing, sense of meaning and purpose. Looking at these areas together can help you recognise patterns, understand what may be supporting or hindering your wellbeing, and identify where change would be most meaningful and realistic for you.

Rather than being told what to do, you are supported in discovering your own priorities, building on your strengths, and translating what matters to you into realistic action. Through conversation, reflection, goal setting and ongoing support, small changes can gradually become habits that fit into everyday life. Barriers and sources of support can be explored, progress revisited, and strategies adjusted as your circumstances and needs evolve. The emphasis is not on perfection, but on creating changes you can sustain.

Health Coaching can also complement the care you receive from doctors and other healthcare professionals. It does not diagnose , treat or prescribe. Instead, it helps bridge the space between knowing what supports your health and making it part of how you live, including helping you integrate recommendations from your healthcare team into everyday life. When another type of professional support is needed, referral forms part of responsible practice.

Grow your vision

This work is for you if...

• You carry significant professional responsibility and recognise that your health needs to be able to sustain the life you are building.

• You know what would support your wellbeing, but struggle to make it part of everyday life.

• Your work, travel, responsibilities, or changing priorities make consistency difficult.

• You want to understand how nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, recovery, relationships, environment, and other areas of your life may be influencing how you feel and function.

• You notice recurring patterns around food, energy, stress, sleep, or self-care that you would like to understand differently.

• You are navigating changes in your body, health, lifestyle, or stage of life and want to explore what works for you now.

• You are tired of one-size-fits-all approaches and want to discover what supports your individual needs.

• You want to make changes without pursuing perfection or adding another demanding programme to an already full life.

• You have received recommendations from healthcare professionals but need support translating them into realistic everyday habits.

• You want greater clarity about what matters to you and where your health fits among competing priorities.

• You are ready to build on what is already working, identify what may be getting in the way, and take realistic steps towards the health and life you want.

• You want your wellbeing to become part of how you live and lead, rather than something you continually postpone.

Sustainable change is possible. It starts with understanding what works for you.

An Integrative View of Health and Wellbeing

A leader does not leave their health behind when they enter the boardroom, make a difficult decision, manage a team or pursue an ambitious vision. We bring the whole of who we are into the way we live and lead: our physical health and energy, thoughts and emotions, relationships, work, environment, habits, stress, capacity for recovery, sense of belonging, values, meaning and purpose.

Health is therefore more than the absence of illness, and wellbeing is more than eating well or exercising regularly. Human beings are multidimensional, and the different areas of our lives continually interact. Sleep can influence energy and concentration; stress can affect both body and mind; relationships can nourish or drain us; our work can provide purpose while also placing demands on our time and resources; and our surroundings, communities and social environments can shape the choices available to us. Even joy, connection, personal growth and a sense of meaning contribute to the wider picture of how we experience our lives.

Taking an integral view allows us to step back from an isolated concern and see the full picture of health. Rather than asking only what you eat, how much you exercise or whether a particular health marker is where you want it to be, we can also explore what is happening around those behaviours: the demands of your work, the quality of your rest and recovery, your relationships and support systems, your physical and social environment, the way you spend your time, what replenishes your energy, what creates stress, and whether the life you are living remains congruent with what you value. The aim is not to optimise every dimension of life, but to understand which areas matter most to your wellbeing now and how they may be influencing one another.

For leaders, this wider perspective can be particularly important. Professional responsibility can easily occupy the foreground while sleep, nourishment, movement, recovery, relationships or personal needs are continually negotiated around it. An integral view does not separate the person from the professional role. It creates an opportunity to consider whether the way you are living supports not only what you are trying to accomplish, but also the human being accomplishing it. Your health vision can therefore sit alongside your aspirations, values and purpose, rather than competing with them.

This perspective also moves away from the idea that health is simply a matter of discipline or making the “right” choices. Our behaviours take place within real lives, shaped by culture, community, work, relationships, access, environment, responsibilities and competing priorities. Understanding those influences can help reveal where support is needed, what may be getting in the way, what is already working, and which changes are realistic enough to become sustainable.

About

Luciana Stiglich

National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)

Luciana Stiglich is a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach whose work brings together whole-person health, behaviour change, and an integral understanding of the human being. Her approach is particularly suited to leaders whose health and wellbeing need to coexist with significant professional responsibility, ambition, and the demands of the lives they are building.

Her path into health and wellbeing began alongside her career in international business consulting, as she saw first-hand the toll that high-pressure leadership can take on personal wellbeing.

She holds a Bachelor of Alternative System of Medicines (BASM, India) and later became certified as an NLP Practitioner (Peru), deepening her understanding of communication, patterns of behaviour and the processes through which people create change.

Over time, her growing interest in the relationship between health, lifestyle and the wider human experience led her to leave a thriving corporate career in her mid-thirties and dedicate herself professionally to health and wellbeing.

Her Health Coaching education developed through several stages between 2022-2025. She first completed Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching 1.5, followed by the expanded Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching 2.0. She subsequently completed the Coaching Intensive Practicum (CIP), an advanced practical coaching programme that further developed her competencies in client-centred coaching, motivational interviewing, behaviour change, strengths and values exploration, goal setting, accountability and the coaching relationship, becoming a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (USA). She later achieved national board certification as a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).

Alongside this core training, Luciana pursued specialised studies in Emotional Eating Psychology, Mindful Eating, Hormone Health, Gut Health,  and Detox. These areas broaden the perspective she brings to Health Coaching without reducing a person to a symptom or placing every client into the same programme. Her work is grounded in bio-individuality and in the understanding that human beings are multidimensional: nourishment extends beyond food, and wellbeing can be influenced by movement, sleep and recovery, relationships, work, finances, environment, emotional wellbeing, personal growth, joy, community, meaning and purpose.

This breadth informs the way Luciana works with leaders, recognising that professional success does not occur separately from the person creating it. Her approach considers what matters most at a particular moment, what may be supporting or hindering wellbeing, and how health can better support the person's life, aspirations and purpose.

Her Health Coaching is client-centred, strengths-based and collaborative. Recognising each person as whole, resourceful and the expert on their own life, she supports clients in developing awareness, clarifying what matters and translating insight into realistic, sustainable action that can evolve with their lives.

Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching

Nutrition is not only about what is on your plate. The way you nourish yourself is influenced by the wider life you are living: your work, relationships, physical activity, stress, environment, sense of purpose and the time and energy available to care for yourself. Integrative Nutrition takes this broader view, recognising that food matters deeply while also understanding that human beings need many forms of nourishment to thrive.

This Health Coaching programme helps you explore both food and lifestyle through the principle of bio-individuality. Rather than prescribing one ideal diet, we consider what works for your individual body, preferences, culture, circumstances, and stage of life. Different approaches to nutrition can be explored as information rather than rigid rules, helping you develop greater awareness of how you eat, what nourishes you and which changes are realistic and sustainable for you. No single nutritional framework will be used in exactly the same way by every person.

For leaders, this means looking beyond whether you already know what healthy eating looks like. Travel, meetings, long working hours, social commitments, stress, and competing priorities can create a considerable distance between knowing what supports your health and being able to live it consistently. We can explore how your professional life interacts with nourishment, movement and the other areas that influence your wellbeing, and identify practical changes that fit the life you are actually leading rather than asking you to organise your life around another restrictive programme.

Integrative Nutrition also recognises that nourishment can come from places that cannot be found on a plate. Relationships, meaningful work, movement, connection and a sense of purpose can contribute to wellbeing, while dissatisfaction or imbalance in these areas can shape the wider health picture. Looking at them together allows us to consider not simply what you are eating, but how well your life is nourishing you.

Emotional Eating Coaching

For many leaders, food can become intertwined with stress, pressure, long working days, disrupted routines, emotional demands and the constant need to keep functioning. Eating may offer comfort, distraction, reward, relief, or a temporary sense of control, while restrictive rules and self-judgement can add another layer of tension around food. Emotional eating is therefore approached not as a failure of discipline, but as a pattern worth understanding within the wider context of the person’s life.

This Health Coaching programme helps you explore the relationship between food, emotions, stress, beliefs, body awareness and the ways you have learned to respond to discomfort or unmet needs. Rather than focusing only on what you eat, we look at the patterns underneath eating behaviour: what triggers it, what function food may be serving, what your body is communicating, and how family, culture, past experiences and your current environment may be shaping your relationship with food.

Mindful Eating brings greater awareness to the eating experience. By slowing down, tuning in to hunger and fullness, recognising emotions and triggers, engaging the senses and allowing space for pleasure, you can begin to make choices with greater intention rather than moving automatically between pressure, craving, restriction and reaction. The aim is not another set of food rules, but a more bio-individual relationship with eating that supports both health and satisfaction.

For leaders, this work can also reveal something broader. The way you relate to food may reflect how you respond to stress, how easily you recognise and meet your own needs, how much permission you give yourself to rest or experience pleasure, and whether you tend to rely on control when life feels demanding. Developing greater self-awareness and self-compassion can create more choice in those moments, helping you respond to your needs more directly rather than asking food to carry what belongs elsewhere in your life.

Hormone Health Coaching

Hormones influence far more than reproductive health. They are involved in energy, metabolism, sleep, mood, cognition, digestion, stress response, appetite, recovery and sexual wellbeing, which means changes in hormonal health can be experienced across many areas of everyday life. For leaders carrying sustained responsibility, these changes can become particularly significant when they intersect with demanding schedules, chronic stress, disrupted sleep, travel and limited opportunities for recovery.

This Health Coaching programme helps you take a wider view of the factors that can influence hormonal wellbeing. Rather than looking at one hormone or symptom in isolation, we can explore patterns around stress and recovery, nutrition and blood sugar, sleep, movement, digestive health, environmental influences and the wider conditions of your life. Because hormonal needs are bio-individual and can change over time, the emphasis is on understanding what is happening for you and identifying realistic lifestyle changes that can support your wellbeing.

For women in leadership, this can also provide valuable support through the changing hormonal landscape of the menstrual years, perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause. Changes in sleep, energy, concentration, memory, mood, body composition or menstrual patterns can coincide with years of considerable professional responsibility. Becoming more aware of your body's changing rhythms and needs can help you reconsider how you nourish yourself, manage stress, move, rest and recover, rather than expecting your body to function in exactly the same way at every stage of life.

This work is not about forcing the body into a predetermined version of “balance”. The programme remains grounded in the whole person: hormonal wellbeing is considered alongside the other dimensions of health and the realities of the life you lead. Change is approached gradually and collaboratively, with you remaining the expert on your own experience and with practical steps adapted as your needs and priorities evolve.

When symptoms suggest a hormonal or endocrine concern, medical assessment is important. Hormone Health Coaching does not diagnose hormonal imbalances, interpret laboratory results or replace endocrinological, gynaecological or other medical care. It can work alongside your healthcare team, helping you navigate recommendations and translate appropriate nutrition and lifestyle changes into the reality of everyday life.

Gut Health Coaching

For many leaders, digestive wellbeing can take a back seat to demanding schedules, travel, irregular meals, prolonged stress, and limited time to recover. Yet bloating, digestive discomfort, irregular bowel habits or changes in how you respond to food can affect how you experience your day. Gut health is also connected with wider aspects of wellbeing, including the immune system, inflammation, stress and the gut–brain relationship, making it part of the whole-person picture rather than an isolated digestive concern.

This Health Coaching programme helps you understand your digestive wellbeing and the factors that may be influencing it. Rather than focusing only on food, we can explore patterns around eating, bowel health, stress, sleep, movement, hydration, environment and other aspects of your lifestyle, while developing greater awareness of the microbiome and the bio-individual nature of gut health. No single formula fits everyone: what supports one person's digestive wellbeing may not work for another.

For leaders, this wider perspective can be particularly valuable because the conditions surrounding digestive health are often woven into the way professional life is organised. Greater awareness can help you recognise connections between your body's signals and your everyday patterns, identify what may be supporting or challenging your digestive wellbeing, and make more intentional choices within the realities of your work and life. Where useful, observational tools can also help you notice patterns in digestive comfort and bowel health over time.

When digestive concerns require medical assessment, this work complements rather than replaces healthcare by advocating for your health, navigating recommendations, and finding realistic ways to integrate them into your everyday life.

Detox Coaching

For leaders, feeling depleted is not always about needing to do more. Sometimes it is worth looking at what is already taking up space in everyday life — the foods you rely on, the products you use, your surroundings, habits and patterns of thought — and considering what could be reduced, replaced or approached differently. Detox, in this context, is not a quick cleanse or restrictive programme. It is an ongoing process of bringing in more of what nourishes and energises you while reducing unnecessary exposures and influences that may drain you.

This specialised area of Health Coaching takes an integral approach to detoxing your life. We can explore nutrition and the nutrients that support the body's natural detoxification processes, while also looking at potential exposures through processed or high-pesticide foods, beauty and personal-care products, plastics, household products, indoor air and the wider home environment. The emphasis is on developing greater awareness and making informed choices rather than attempting to eliminate everything that could be considered a potential toxin.

For leaders, the process can extend beyond the physical environment. A demanding life also contains mental and emotional inputs, established habits and ways of thinking that can consume energy. By recognising the mind–body connection, we can explore what feels nourishing or depleting across different areas of your life and introduce practices and mindsets that better support your wellbeing within the realities of your professional and personal responsibilities.

Because detox is bio-individual, there is no single protocol or ideal version of a “clean” lifestyle to achieve. Your needs, environment, priorities and circumstances are your own and will continue to change. The approach is therefore step by step: crowding in nourishing foods, environments, practices and habits so there is gradually less room for what no longer supports you, without turning wellbeing into another source of pressure.

Why it works

Health Coaching bridges the distance between knowing and doing. Instead of prescribing a predetermined solution, the process begins with you: what matters to you, what you want to change, why that change is important, what is already working, and what may be getting in the way. By connecting change to your own values, priorities and vision for your health, goals become personally meaningful rather than another set of expectations to follow.

Awareness is then translated into action. Together, we identify realistic steps, explore barriers and sources of support, and create strategies that can work within your responsibilities, environment and circumstances. We revisit progress over time, so you can learn from what happens, recognise what works, and adjust as your needs or life change.

Because the process is client-centred and strengths-based, you remain the expert on your own life. Health Coaching doesn't create dependence or tell you how to live; it strengthens your awareness, agency, and capacity to make choices that support your health and wellbeing over time.

Ethical Boundaries

This work has the following guidelines:

The dignity, autonomy, and individuality of every client.

The privacy and confidentiality of the coaching relationship.

The scope of Health Coaching and appropriate referral to other professionals when needed.

Clear and appropriate professional boundaries throughout the coaching relationship.
